Where do the arrival times come from?
The prototype uses National Transport Authority transit feeds. Availability depends on your route and stop. When a live prediction isn’t available, planned times are labelled clearly; stale or offline data is never presented as live.
Will it work with my route?
We’re starting in Ireland. Tell us your city when you join; route coverage will be confirmed before we ask you to order. Bus coverage depends on the available transit feeds. Train, Luas and DART are future feature requests.
Does it need WiFi or a phone?
RideDot Home connects to your home WiFi and updates automatically. You’ll use a phone for initial setup and choosing your route and stop, then glance at the display throughout the day.
How is it powered?
It’s designed to stay plugged in on a desk, kitchen counter or hallway shelf. The prototype uses external power; the final adapter, connector and included accessories will be confirmed before launch. It is not battery powered.
When will it ship?
We’re developing and testing the prototype. There is no confirmed shipping date yet. Early access is a waitlist, and the optional €5 reservation is a refundable deposit, not a full product order. We’ll confirm delivery timing and the final price before taking an order.
Can I get my deposit back?
Yes. The €5 deposit is fully refundable before you place a final product order. The reservation terms provide the refund contact when payments open. No final order or further payment happens automatically.
Can it show my Leap balance?
Not at launch. Leap balance is a possible future integration, subject to partnership and API access. RideDot Home is an independent project and is not affiliated with TFI or Leap.
